Lillian Davies est historienne d’art et écrivaine basée à Paris. Auteur du livre Playgrounds (Drawing is Free Press) avec l’artiste Chloé Briggs, Lillian participe a de nombreux catalogues d’expositions, plus récemment pour le Musée d’art contemporain, Lyon et Es Baluard Museu d’Art Contemporain, Palma. Contributeur régulier à Artforum, elle publie également des articles, critiques et interviews dans Art in America, Flash Art, Interview, Numéro, Objektiv et V. Auteur de Suspect Language: Mounir Fatmi (Skira Flammarion), elle est auteur et co-éditeur (avec Cecilia Alemani et Andrea Bellini) de Collecting Contemporary Art (JRP Ringier), et contributeur à des livres sur l’art moderne et contemporain publiés par Phaidon. Auparavant rédactrice en chef du magazine UOVO (Torino), elle a également travaillé dans l’équipe de redaction chez Tate Publishing (Londres). Membre de la faculté de Paris College of Art, et ancien membre de la faculté à Parsons Paris, Lillian est titulaire d’un baccalauréat en histoire de l’art et religions comparées de l’Université Columbia, d’une maîtrise en conservation d’art contemporain du Royal College of Art et a récemment mené des recherches doctorales en Troisième Cycle à l’École du Louvre, présentant son travail sur l’art moderne et contemporain du monde arabe et son diaspora aux conférences organisées par l’EHESS, l’Université de Genève et l’Akademie der Künste der Welt (Cologne).

Frequent contributor to Artforum, she also publishes articles, reviews and interviews in Art in America, Flash Art, Interview, Numéro, Objektiv and V.
